Helping people easily create, share, and collaborate on task lists and outlines

List size matters

We rarely use lists with more than 200 items, probably because it’s easier to get a short list done. You can always extract a sublist (there is even a special shortcut for this command - xx) when needed.

But sometimes people work and collaborate on rather large lists. According to our statistics, we have 16 lists with more than 1000 items. And there are 80 lists with more than 500.

And when @BruceWagner pointed out that the speed of adding items to his primary list of 900-something tasks was really slow, we put new features aside and turned to bug-hunting.

Yesterday night the bug was found and fixed, code cleaned and refactored, and now adding new items should work about 5 times faster.

Do you notice the improvement or some operations are still slow for you? Please write us or add a comment to this post.
