beta.checkvist.com tags update: colors, privateness, import/export

We’ve just updated beta.checkvist.com with a handful of features: the first two are accessible from the Manage tag item in the tt menu.

Tag colors

Tags can be very distinctive visual cues - just give them the color you want. Colors are not shared, this is your own mark-up for tags (printable). If you want an item in the list to stand out, use the task coloring instead.

Private tags

If you want to keep your tagging unseen for the rest of your team, mark the tags as private - when you see the “lock” icon beside the tag name, be sure only you can see this tag. You can make it public anytime.

Import/export list with tags

Now tags information is exported in all formats, supported by Checkvist: Text, Atlassian Confluence Wiki, OPML and simple HTML. In all cases (besides OPML) tags are exported in #-notation. Tags are added after the task name.

If you export list with tags in OPML format, the list can be imported back and the tags information will be preserved.

Feel free to try these features - beta.checkvist.com works on the same data you have on the main server. And once we’re done with the tag-related features, all your tags will be available on checkvist.com.

We always like to hear what you think at http://checkvist.uservoice.com or by email kirsa@checkvist.com So, drop us a word, while we’re heading forward to implementing Tag watching and renaming!
